FUMING I’m A Celebrity viewers have insisted Cliff Parisi would have left the show last night if the app voting hadn’t been bungled.
Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly announced that online votes wouldn’t count in Friday’s eviction after fans were asked to vote for who they wanted to leave – not stay.
Phone voters, as usual, were asked who they wanted to stay – causing Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts to leave the jungle.
However, many insisted 59-year-old ex-EastEnder Cliff would have gone last night instead if her young fanbase’s app votes had been counted.
One tweeted: “Adele nooooooooo.. she doesn’t deserve to go she smashed the task.. Cliff should have gone. What is the point of the app if it doesn’t count ?.”
Another wrote: “Nahhhh I’m fuming. All the mums who rang up to vote for Cliff had their votes count but all the Radio 1 listeners who’d have used the app had their votes discarded.”
Others insisted the eviction should have called off, saying: “Eviction should have been null and void votes on app don’t count Bull? voted Cliff 5x.”
One other predicted Cliff was soon for the axe, writing: “With the app up and working tomorrow it should be Cliff.”
Cliff has been ruled out of many trials on medical grounds and was ill during last night’s ‘Cursed’ trial – leaving James Haskell to take the task on his behalf.
It has left him short of screen time and spenmt – as many viewers said they’d barely seen him
One said: “Has to be cliff going sorry to say. Missed half the trials and not done much around camp but sleep.”
Another posted: “Should have been cliff, he’s done absolutely nothing, accept sleep, what a waste.”
