IT’S time to have your fill in the countdown to Christmas. 

Shops have launched their festive range of sarnies and lunchtime bites to help perk the nation up – and they are the quirkiest yet.

But watch out, as some contain almost 600 calories.

Here, we check them out to see which ones are bad for your elf.

Waitrose

Containing sausage and bacon, the 2.55g salt content is one of the highest of those sampled.

It also contains 509 calories.

Decadently packing two half truffled eggs and ham, with 513 calories and the most salt at 2.88g, this is definitely not just any sandwich.

Containing butternut squash, red cabbage and vegan mayo, the 543 calories and 1.9g salt means it is meat-free but not guilt-free.
