Just before it was due go on-screen back in 2001 the bosses pulled it from the show and hurriedly filmed a rewrite.
It was due to air in October ’01 just after 9/11 and was deemed too insensitive for screens.
Instead, fans saw Monica and Chandler’s frustration as they were constantly outdone by another couple who beat them to the freebies, and even gained an upgrade on the plane.
