JEREMY Corbyn was plunged into a fresh crisis today as the Tories opened up a huge 15 point lead over Labour – as the party started its annual conference.
The leftie boss was rocked by a new survey from Opinium which put Labour on 22 per cent and the Tories on 37 per cent.

The Observer poll is a huge blow to the Labour leader as he starts the party’s annual conference in Brighton today and tries to unite them.
It shows the pro-Remain Lib Dems are significantly eating into their vote – up to 17 per cent – as Labour’s Brexit position continued to be completely muddled.
Today the Labour boss insisted that he would continue to sit on the fence on leaving the EU until AFTER a general election.
He refused eight times to answer whether the party would campaign to Remain or Leave in a second referendum.
Members are expected to have a late night session thrashing out what they think the party’s policy should be.
Today Labour’s deputy leader Tom Watson, fresh from a failed attempt to oust him yesterday, demanded Mr Corbyn rip up the policy and officially throw his weight behind Remain.
Shadow Foreign Secretary Emily Thornberry and London Mayor Sadiq Khan weighed in too and defied their leader change tack.
Earlier this month Labour voted against an election TWICE despite demanding one for years.
They said they wouldn’t throw their weight behind a snap poll until Boris Johnson is forced to extend Article 50 at the end of October.
But if the latest polls are accurate, Boris would be set to win any snap election and gain seats.
The Mirror reported today that backbenchers are openly talking about another leadership challenge to Mr Corbyn.
“This cannot go on, we will not win,” one warned.
But MPs aren’t united on a candidate to take over from him.
Last night one of Mr Corbyn’s top aides, Andrew Fisher, will quit his role by the end of the year after warning the party can’t win an election, it was revealed last night.
The policy chief claimed he wanted to spend more time with his family.

Mr Corbyn was today forced to deny rumours that he might quit as party boss because he’s under so much pressure.
The leftie leader, 70, promised that he would serve a full five years as PM if he managed to scrape his way into Downing Street.
