FREE mobile phone roaming will end and motorists will need extra travel insurance as part of strict new restrictions being imposed on Brits travelling to Europe from next January.
Fresh advice on the Government’s website also warned that Brits with less than six months left on their passports will be barred from entering Europe.

Holidaymakers hoping to take their dog abroad will need to seek approval from their vet up to four months beforehand, according to the new guidance issued on the Government’s website.
But travel arrangements for Brits going to Europe between now and December 2020 will remain unchanged.
Motorists will need to obtain a “green card” – a certificate extending their insurance to driving on the continent from next January.
The guidance advises motorists to ask for the extra document from their vehicle insurance company a month before they depart.
The Government also confirmed that British travellers will need to use “separate lanes from EU, EEA and Swiss citizens when queueing”.
Pet passport schemes will be scrapped, with pet owners advised: “Contact your vet at least four months before you go.”
That means a Brit hoping to take their dog to Europe on January 1 next year to start planning for it on August 1 this year.
