Berlin-based gaming and esports marketing agency Freaks 4U Gaming GmbH Database-Link-e1521645463907 has announced the formation of a French subsidiary and has appointed the former Managing Director of ESL’s Database-Link-e1521645463907 France division to oversee its efforts.

Ouerfelli will serve as Head of New Business for Freaks 4U Gaming SAS, following 10 years with Turtle Entertainment Database-Link-e1521645463907 (ESL). He departed ESL in December. Freaks 4U Gaming will also take over Turtle Entertainment France’s former office and studio space in Ivry-sur-Seine, located to the southeast of the city of Paris.

Freaks 4U Gaming hopes to secure new business in the French esports and gaming market, as well as further support its 1PV French Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Database-Link-e1521645463907 (CS:GO) community. As managing director of ESL’s French division, Ouerfelli oversaw all operations for the region. He is also a co-founder, board member, and the treasurer of regional advocacy association, France Esports.

The company will use the Ivry-sur-Seine facility to produce French-language CS:GO broadcasts for partners including ESL, DreamHack Database-Link-e1521645463907, and RFRSH Entertainment’s Database-Link-e1521645463907 BLAST Pro Series.

“Besides coverage of CS:GO, we are aiming to include further games in the production at our four studios in Ivry-sur-Seine, living up to our success in the German-speaking countries. For that we are planning to expand our French studios and to create new jobs. Our future in the French market is full of promise,” said Freaks 4U Gaming CEO Michael Haenisch, in a statement.

Freaks 4U Gaming’s hiring of Ouerfelli follows a similar move from a year ago, when the company brought on board ESL Head of Global Sponsorships Marco Niemann to be its global head of new business and strategy. Ouerfelli will support Niemann’s team in his new role.
