Fortnite update 11.01 early patch notes: Ghoul Trooper item shop news, chapter 2 bug fixes

Fortnite update 11.01 looks set to drop this week, and the patch could mark big news for fans hoping for the Ghoul Trooper item shop return.

Halloween is just around the corner which means spooky skins look set to drop in Fortnite chapter 2 soon.

With fans anticipating another Fortnitemares event Battle Royale players have been left wondering which Halloween skins will be coming to Fortnite.

A much-requested skin to return is the Fortnite Ghoul Trooper, with fans left wondering if the Ghoul Trooper will be coming back to Fortnite soon.

And ahead of this week’s Fortnite content update 11.01 release Battle Royale fans have been given a big update.

Notable Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR has tweeted that the Fortnite Ghoul Trooper is not likely to arrive in the item shop before the next update.

With Fortnite content update 11.01 set to drop on Tuesday or Wednesday it’s possible the Fortnite Ghoul Trooper could be released after that.

ShiinaBR tweeted: “Since I still get A LOT of DMs because of this: I don’t think Ghoul Trooper will be in the Item Shop before Epic releases the next update.

“There still is an ID for a male Ghoul Trooper, but the skin isn’t in the files yet. So it wouldn’t make sense to release Ghoul Trooper now.”

As fans wait to see what is going to be teased as “coming soon” in the next Fortnite update details have emerged about incoming bug fixes.

The Fortnite Trello board has revealed the issues that will be resolved in the next release.

Here’s the inbound Fortnite chapter 2 bug fixes…

FORTNITE CONTENT UPDATE 11.01 CHAPTER 2 BUG FIXES

• Unable to use swapped-to item when character is backed up against camera

• ‘Ready Up!’ button not appearing in Squads matches until entire party is eliminated

• Issue with ‘Get an elimination from 50m or further’ Open Water Challenge

• Daily Punchcard remaining on-screen

• Gift wrap missing for gifted Battle Passes

One bug that is not listed as being fixed in the next Fortnite release is an issue that has cropped up related to the new Fortnite hideouts.

The bug that players are encountering launches Fortnite players out of a dumpster hideout and straight into orbit.

The Fortnite bug has been dubbed the “dementor” and it sees Fortnite players being flung towards the clouds before crashing down to earth.

Epic Games has said on Reddit that they are aware of the issue and that a report on the glitch has been filed.

But the issue, at the time of writing, hasn’t been listed on the Fortnite Trello board.

This could indicate that it won’t get fixed in time for the release of Fortnite content update 11.01.
