Fortnite season 10 is set to kick off next month, with the landmark Battle Pass likely to be released around the time of the Fortnite World Cup.
Epic Games has not confirmed the Fortnite season 10 release date, but an in-game countdown is showing how much time is left till season 9 ends.
The final full day of season 9 of Fortnite looks set to be on Tuesday July 23, barring no unexpected delays.
If Fortnite season 10 follows previous release schedules, then it could launch the day after the preceding season’s final full day.
That would put Fortnite season 10 as having a release date of Wednesday July 24.
If Fortnite season 10 does launch on this day then it would be quite surprising as new Fortnite seasons tend to launch on a Thursday.
There is one reason why Epic Games this time round may want to launch Fortnite season 10 on a Wednesday instead of a Thursday.
On Friday July 26 the Fortnite World Cup Finals begins in New York and will run until Sunday July 28.
Maybe Epic Games want Fortnite season 10 to run for a few days at least before the start of the Fortnite World Cup to iron out any possible kinks.
And ahead of the start of Fortnite season 10 a new leak may have revealed the theme for the next Battle Pass.
The leak has revealed posters for the upcoming Fortnite Cattus monster event, which seems to be influenced by Second World War designs.
The posters featured slogans such as “when danger strikes take the high ground”, “duck and hover” and “we can build it”.
The posters are telling for a number of reasons – firstly, one reveals that the jetpack might finally be arriving in Fortnite.
And secondly the military style posters may be hinting at a future war theme for Fortnite season 10.
As reported on in a post by Dexerto, a number of military-inspired buildings have appeared in Battle Royale recently.
It all may be hinting at a future war theme which could begin with the start of Fortnite season 10.
