Fortnite Season 10 Teaser: World Cup Solo reveal and Season X leaks

The Fortnite World Cup Solo Finals are scheduled for later today, and they’ve been promised to include big Season 10 news.

According to Jack “CouRage” Dunlop, the Fortnite World Cup commentator, the first major Fortnite Season 10 teaser will be revealed during the finals.

“First Season 10 teaser tomorrow live on broadcast, he wrote on Twitter, before adding: “I’m so hyped.”

And this probably won’t just be a little teaser image either, but something more akin to a trailer.

No set time has been revealed for when the teaser might drop, but there is a good chance that more information will be shared later today.

Epic Games could choose to drop the teaser just before the big finals match.

Or, they could save it for when it ends, and they’re ready to shut down the World Cup event.

So it will be worth keeping an eye on the official Fortnite, and CouRage Twitter accounts over the coming hours.

The Fortnite Solo Finals coverage begins at around 5pm today in the UK, but the match itself won’t start until after 6pm.

The winners are expected to be crowned at 9.45pm UK time, but there could be a slight change depending on broadcast plans.

Fortnite Season 10 looks set to kick off next week, on or just after August 1.

Epic Games has not provided the exact timings yet, but we do know that Fortnite Season 9 is scheduled to end on that date.

More information could be shared during the Fortnite World Cup, with a release date announcement a safe bet.

A recent leak suggested that the next season will be dubbed Fortnite X, or Fortnite Season X.

This has been sourced from what appears to be official artwork for the new season.

This doesn’t mean that Epic Games are planning to change how they refer to events, but Season X does have a nice ring to it.

Meanwhile, the top 100 Solo players and the top 50 Duos teams have been competing for the massive World Cup prize pool.

They are each guaranteed at least $50,000, and the World Cup Solo Champion will walk away with $3,000,000.

And if you were wondering about those Season 10 Battle Pass rewards, these have been confirmed for Ticket holders.

All ticketed fans who attend the three-day event will receive V-Bucks and a Season 10 Battle Pass, but they must be present to claim these items.

Everyone who attends the event will receive a code that can be applied to their Epic account to redeem the V-Bucks and Season 10 Battle Pass.

“The codes will be physically distributed at the event and will be limited to one code per attendee,” Epic Games adds.

“The Season 10 Battle Pass will become active with the Season 10 launch and not immediately upon receiving the code.”

More Fortnite Season 10 news is expected to be shared later today during the World Cup Solo Finals.
