Fortnite 11.10 patch notes update: Epic FINALLY lists Season 2 changes for Fortnitemares

ORIGINAL: Fortnite update 11.10 patch notes may be missing in action, but that hasn’t stopped fans from uncovering a whole host of secrets, skins and items from the patch files.

To coincide with server downtime, Fortnite update 11.10 is available to download on PS4, Xbox One, PC, iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch.

The new update ushers in the start of the annual Fortnitemares event for Halloween.

The Fortnitemares event has a 1pm GMT start time for fans playing in the UK.

Needless to say, the Fortnitemares event brings back popular weapons and items, including the Pumpkin Launcher.

As discovered in the update files, the Fortnitemares event comes with its own set of challenges and rewards.

As you can see from the image below, leaked challenges include destroying haunted house furniture, leaping from a hideout, searching chests and dealing damage to the Storm King.

Defeating the Storm King also unlocks a mystery reward, which is likely to be a new skin or item.

As you can see from the map image above, the new update also makes changes to the island.

The centre of the map contains an ominous purple cloud for the Fortnitemares event.

Fortnite fan Lucas7Yoshi has also discovered a selection of new skins, items and other shop purchases.

That’s on top of the brand new Fortnite loading screens, including the one at the top of the page.

Annoyingly, Fortnite developer Epic Games has seemingly stopped posting full patch notes for new updates.

Fortunately, however, thanks to the Fortnite Trello page, fans have a pretty good idea about what to expect from the updates.

One particularly annoying problem involves the Replay mode, which according to Epic patch notes, is currently experiencing bugs. Fortunately, the developer has said this should be fixed in update 11.10.

Elsewhere, Epic will fix an issue with Mission Challenges incorrectly displaying 14,000 XP instead of 52,000 XP.

Epic has also announced plans to fix a problem with controller inputs not working properly for Friends search.

More fixes include: “Players with ‘Auto Pick Up Weapon’ enabled can automatically pick up the Bandage Bazooka even if only one inventory slot is available.

“This will cause an item to be dropped from the inventory to make room for the Bandage Bazooka.”

That’s on top of a fix for a problem with editing in the Locker causing controllers to lock, and some explosive objects not triggering a visualised sound effect.
