The annual Game Awards kicked-off tonight, with many household names in gaming and streaming in attendance Epic Games once again stole the show.
The masterminds behind Fortnite, have announced two major announcements the last Game Awards shows. Two years ago they announced the first LTM, the 50v50 mode and last year they showcased The Block, the fan-created POI that became a staple of Fortnite’s map. This year comes as no exception as they have announced another major topic at this year’s show.

Free Star Wars Glider?
The major announcement behind Donald Mustard’s speech last night was more details on the looming Star Wars X Fortnite event. Tomorrow, December 14 at 2:00 pm EST, players all over the world will be able to load into a regular Fortnite match with a twist.

What is assumed to be a world premiere scene of the upcoming Star Wars blockbuster, players will all ceasefire and watch in awe. The scene is set to be showcased at Risky Reels which has transformed into a more modern movie theatre, also there may be other additions to this event that we do not know about yet.
They also teased the chance to obtain a one of a kind Tie Whisper glider during the event tomorrow. This glider is similar to the Tie Fighter glider in the item shop right now but it will be exclusive to this event. In order to obtain the glider, all you have to do is log into your Fortnite account and load into a match at 2:00 pm EST. Once you do so, the glider will appear in your locker right after the event concludes or a few days after.
