Fortnite DOWN: Server Status latest as Epic Games provide update

Thousands of gamers are reporting issues tonight with Fortnite servers being down.

The problems started around 6pm in the UK and continue to affect gamers trying to play on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

One user writes: “The login issues are out of Epic’s control. Amazon Web Services is having issues which are resulting in a number of outages in games, websites and more.”

Another adds: “I’m going to stop investing in gaming. Every freakin time it’s my day off and I can play, it is down. I’m done. Just bought the BP last night, ready for my three-day weekend.”

The good news is that Epic Games is aware of the outage and looking to fix it today.

Today’s major outage is affecting nearly all major Epic Games services, including the online Store.

Fortnite Battle Royale gamers are currently unable to log in and play the popular free-to-play title.

“Some players are currently experiencing issues when attempting to log in. We are investigating this and working to resolve it as soon as possible,” Epic Games reports.

Unfortunately for gamers, there has been no update on when servers might be back online.

However, with Epic Games looking into tonight’s problems, we could see a return to normal game services very soon.

Today’s Fortnite outage has also affected some of the eSports schedules in place for the game, with Epic Games revealing earlier tonight:

“Because of the current Fortnite login issues, we will be delaying the following Champion Series rounds for approximately two hours.”

“We will post an update when we have more information.”
