Formula One heiress Tamara Ecclestone has been left ‘angry and shaken’ after robbers raided her London mansion making off with nearly £50million in jewellery on Friday evening.

The reality star and socialite had left her home to celebrate the holidays with her family abroad when thieves struck, sweeping the house clean of extremely valuable jewels, according to reports.

Tamara, husband Jay and daughter Sophia, 5, had only been out of the house a matter of hours before the burglars struck.

The exclusive London street, dubbed ‘Billionaire’s Row’ in Kensington, West London, is home to some of the wealthiest households in the UK, and as such as near-constant patrol both down the street, and individually in each home.

Three burglars are believed to have managed to evade the security and made their way in after jumping the back garden fence, and immediately up the stairs to the safe containing the luxury bling.

They eventually legged it after nearly an hour inside the house, when a security guard startled them.

Currently no arrests have been made with police asking those with any information to come forward.

A representative for the Eccleston-Rutland family said in a statement: ‘I can sadly confirm there has been a home invasion. Internal security are co-operating with police in this matter.

‘Tamara and family are well but obviously angry and shaken by the incident.’

They added if anyone has information that could help in investigations to call police on 101 quoting reference 8786/13DEC19.

Items lost included a Cartier bangle given as a wedding gift worth £80,000, as well as rings and earrings of sentimental and monetary value.

‘This is the most shocking burglary because it is one of the most secure houses in London on one of the most secure streets in London,’ a source told The Sun.

They added that the safes and access to them would’ve ‘not been easy to find’, with both Tamara and husband Jay losing items in the raid.
