Former Miss Universe Amy Willerton ENGAGED after romantic weekend in Swiss Alps

The former Miss Universe babe is officially off the market, as she revealed that her long-term boyfriend has popped the question.

Amy Willerton confirmed her engagement to Daniel Day over the weekend, though she made him ask twice before she accepted his offer.

The 26-year-old was prepared for a day’s skiing in the Alps when she saw that he had something a little more romantic in mind.

In an exclusive with Hello! Magazine, the I’m A Celeb star said that she happened across an elaborate secret proposal display.

She said: “I spied a breakfast picnic set up with candles, a firepit, a bottle of our favourite champagne and red roses everywhere.

“Then he dropped to both knees and pulled out a box from his pocket containing the most beautiful ring. It felt like a dream.”

Though she was overcome with emotion, she made him ask her a second time because he had knelt on both knees the first time around.

She explained: “The second time around I made him do it on one knee because I didn’t know if proposing on both knees counted.”

Despite this, her smitten beau Daniel was delighted with her answer.

He said:  “I couldn’t have asked for it to go better.”

The lovebirds have been dating for the past five years, and the model seems utterly taken by the suave businessman.

Amy made headlines back in 2013 when she dated reality star Joey Essex, 28 after the two bonded in the jungle back.

The model later revealed to Daily Star Online that their relationship had taken its toll, as the attention she received after the show ended was a little too intense.

She remembered: ‘While Joey had a strong management team behind him, I didn’t really have anybody in my corner.

“It was a was a really one-sided situation – I kind of just got left and fed to the wolves.”

Luckily, it seems like now she has met her match in Daniel.
