MasterChef Australia‘s Sandra Moreno has sold her multi-million dollar Queensland mansion for more than double what she paid for it in 2007.

The former contestant of the hit cooking show, who purchased the six-bedroom Ashgrove property for $1.3million, listed it for sale in June 2020.

The house had an estimated value of between $1.88million and $2.41million, but sold it for a tidy $3million on November 30.

The property boasts a five-car garage, media room, five bathrooms, magnificent living and dining rooms, and an exquisite kitchen with the latest appliances, dual island benches, marble finishes and a full-size cold room.

It also has a gymnasium, six-person hot tub, sauna, recovery ice bath, billiards room with bar and an indoor tiled swimming pool, complete with a movie screen.

There are speakers throughout the house, along with double height ceilings and deducted air-conditioning.

The property, which sits on a 1,128 sqm block, was sold by NGU Real Estate’s Emil Juresic and Leo Liu on November 30.

It was sold for significantly lower than the $3.68million Sandra, who works as an interior designer, previously listed it for in November 2019.

Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty selling agent Tyson Clarke told realestate.com.au the property blew him away.

‘You don’t know what to expect but when you walk in the front doors it’s kind of like a cross between Ritz Carlton and a Raffles Hotel, but instantly feels homely and relaxing,’ he told the publication.

Sandra shot to fame after appearing on the first season of MasterChef Australia in 2009, where she spent 11 weeks and ended up being one of the 10 final contestants.

She purchased the Ashgrove property, which used to be a red brick 1950s home, in 2007 while upgrading from nearby suburb Hendra.
