There’s a world of gaming opportunities out there, whether you love adventure, fantasy, horror, shooters or even live dealer casinos, there’s sure to be something for you to play this cold season that keeps you tucked up safe and warm indoors!

Death Stranding

This ambitious and beautifully designed game has a compelling and original narrative paired with dazzling visuals and captivating performances from the actors. Players take over the role of Sam Bridges, a delivery man, who is responsible for delivering special cargo in Death Stranding’s wake – a strange phenomenon which has wiped out countless lives. While the premise sounds monotonous, it’s actually an amazingly engaging concept which will give you hours of game playing fun.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)

The latest version of this famous franchise sees a move back towards a better direction thanks to its astounding graphics, speedy action and multiplayer modes. The campaign this time around is more mature and dark, and while it’s sometimes uncomfortable, it’s also highly thought-provoking. You won’t find any jetpacks, zombies, futuristic gadgets or double jumps in this incarnation. The take is much more grounded and shows a more realistic interpretation of 21st century military engagement. Rather than moving towards science fiction warfare, this title is all about today’s combat in Russia and the Middle East, making it a more realistic and immersive experience all around.

FIFA 20

The latest incarnation of EA Sports FIFA franchise is great for novices and veterans of the game alike. This offering is highly refined and beautifully crafted, giving players everything they’ve asked for when it comes to game modes. The defenders are tougher, the strikers are more sharp-shooting than ever, and there’s now a five a side indoor mode together with all of the traditional features players know and love. It’s a must for any soccer fan.

Gears 5

Gears 5 serves to prove that the franchise still reigns supreme when it comes to slick shooting and adrenaline filled firefights. If you’ve been waiting with bated breath to see the latest addition to this franchise you won’t be disappointed. Players take over the role of Kait Diaz who is involved with her own complex narrative as she tries to work out her family roots. Meanwhile, the future of humankind is under threat from the Swarm. You’re sure to be immersed in the storyline just as much as the thrilling action.

Borderlands 3

The Borderlands franchise isn’t moving in an innovative direction as some of the other long-running titles, but it still offers players an impressive good time. Players old and new can return to Pandora to shoot their way to success, unlocking brand new weapons and new abilities that allow them to battle their way through a host of stylized environments.

Resident Evil 2

This remake elevates the original game’s grandeur into an amazing and contemporary survival horror experience thanks to its detailed environment and immersive gameplay. It isn’t for the faint hearted, but if you’re ready to try to survive a zombie apocalypse this is the game for you.

Not only will you be killing enemies, you’ll also be solving puzzles as you go which adds even more depth to the narrative. It may be a remake, but the source material has been injected with sufficient genius to bring the thrill of the original to today’s gamers while also providing a trip down memory lane to older players who loved the 1998 version.

Kingdom Hearts 3

This action packed, charming adventure takes Final Fantasy’s fantastical nature and pairs it with Disney’s magical familiarity to create a world which is almost identical to the movies that it’s depicting. 14 years in the making, this title is feel-good, charming and packed with fun as Sora and friends search for the Guardians of Light to stop an evil plan to initiate war. It might not be for everyone, but the graphics are stunning and the narrative is wholesome, making this a family-friendly gameplay option.

Far Cry New Dawn

Much better than the previous incarnation, Far Cry 5, this title takes a lighter hearted approach to building worlds and its streamlined mission design approach makes this an accessible entry for even new players. The scope may be smaller, but with the new Expeditions addition, this game is definitely more than just a spin off. The player returns to Hope County with a mission to rebuild.

Previous players will recognize familiar locations and characters, but it won’t spoil anything if you’re new to the franchise – gameplay is just as much fun for beginners as old hands. The colors are bright, the combat is engaging and the crafting system is rewarding, so there’s lots for everyone to enjoy.

Enjoy Your Winter Gaming

Try any of these exciting and fun-packed titles this winter and you’re sure to find enough to do to keep you cozy and comfortable indoors. Whatever kind of gaming experience you enjoy, you’re sure to find at least one title on this list that will make your winter bright and warm.
