Fly to the US and Thailand for less than the price of a packet of crisps

Walkers Sensations has today announced it is offering people across the UK return flights to ‘foodie destinations’ for just £1.99.

The crisp company, in partnership with lastminute.com, is offering cheap flights to Bangkok in Thailand, New Orleans in the US and Bologna in Italy to celebrate the launch of two of its new flavours, Hickory Smoked Cheddar & Crispy Bacon, and Balsamic Vinegar & Caramelised Onion alongside old favourite Thai Sweet Chilli – all also priced at £1.99.

To get these ridiculously cheap flights (which all depart from London), all you need to do is visit the pop-up online ‘travel agency’ Sensations Global Travel on three consecutive Thursdays – starting today (June 27).

Tonight, 50 flights to Bologna will be up for grabs followed by 25 flights to Bangkok on Thursday July 4 and 25 flights to New Orleans on Thursday July 11 – with all proceeds going to charity.

To be in the draw for the flights, you need to visit SensationsGlobalTravel.com each Thursday between 7pm and 8pm and register your details. Winners, who have been chosen at random, will then be contacted to take advantage of the cheap fares.

The idea for the cheap flights came after the team at Walkers surveyed 1,500 people between 16 and 35 and found that 55 per cent of this age bracket claim lack of money is the reason they don’t travel as much as they’d like.

Alison Kirk, Brand Manager for Walkers Sensations, said: “For those who manage to get their hands on one of the 100 flights, we hope that by reducing the price down to the cost of a packet of crisps, we’re able to unlock an exciting feast for the senses, giving them a chance to explore new and far-flung places”.

Even if you don’t win, each entry will receive a free one-month trial of Jack’s Flight Club – the largest cheap flights members club in the UK so you can scout for cheap flights there.
