Florence Pugh has congratulated her soon-to-be co-star Harry Styles after the singer bagged a role in Don’t Worry Darling.

Harry, 26, will be replacing Shia LaBeouf on the project, starring opposite Florence, 24, as Jack and Alice.

Shia had originally been down for the role of Jack but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.

Florence took to Instagram to write: ‘Hells yeah. So so excited to have you on board!! @harrystyles.’

The film’s director Olivia Wilde, who will also be starring in it, shared a photo of Harry and Florence, writing: ‘Jack and Alice. Very proud to work with these fine folks. #DontWorryDarling’.

As yet, little is known about the film itself, but Deadline reports that it is set in an ‘isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert’.

The film is said to centre on a housewife ‘who uncovers a disturbing truth about her seemingly perfect life’, according to THR.

Chris Pine will also star in the flick, which will be Harry’s first big-screen outing since starring in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk in 2017.

According to Deadline, Warner Bros execs were ‘blown away’ by Harry’s performance in the war epic and have been looking for the next perfect role for him.

Harry is said to have impressed Olivia and Florence in an initial meeting and both were keen to get Harry to sign up for the project.

The man himself has yet to comment on the news on social media, but given that Harry is a rare user of social media, it doesn’t come as too much of a surprise.

Harry has carved out an amazing career, beginning in One Direction – one of the biggest boybands the world has ever seen – before going on to huge success as a solo star.

The fact that he’s also making waves as an actor is just another string to Hazza’s bow.
