Flight passengers have a variety of traits and habits, yet many of these they may be kept under wraps when travelling in public. During a journey, many are concerned with passing time on the journey and keeping themselves or their family occupied. Yet others prefer to indulge in their own personal habits, some of which may prove offensive to fellow holidaymakers. One such incident on an Air Asia plane was captured on camera and posted to Instagram account PassengerShaming, where the man in question also came under fire from social media users for his personal hygiene.
It was accompanied by the blunt caption: “So, yeah…this happened…,” which gave no real indication as to its content, taken on the journey from Kuala Lumpur to Hanoi.
Yet in shock scenes the video showed a passenger with his foot propped onto the chair, and picking off his toe nails.
He was wearing a mask over his mouth yet still continued to chip away at his feet.
It has since secured 333,121 views and a swell of public disapproval.
One Instagram user commented underneath: “That is absolutely disgusting, no consideration for other passengers and just general health. Disgusting.”
Another put: “Thats what u see and get for flying Budget,” as one simply put: “Eeeewww.”
Others highlighted the apparent irony of his face mask, with one writing: “But he’s worried about other people’s germs… ok.”
One then added: “Well at least he is covering his mouth!”
The passenger next to the traveller in question appeared completely unaware of his conduct.
It is unclear if he continued with his actions, or was asked to stop by a member of cabin crew.
Meanwhile, in a completely separate incident, a man’s toilet habits caused shock in the plane cabin.
A video was uploaded with the caption: “PRO TRAVEL TIP: That liquid on the floor of the lavatory?
“It is NOT WATER. Proceed accordingly…AND WEAR YOUR GD SHOES!”
The scenes showed a man wearing a blue jumper and matching dark trousers emerging from the flight bathroom.
He continued to walk down the aisle to his seat, with the soles of his feet exposed to anything that might have been in his path.
Yet perhaps the worst was to come, when he was captured scratching his bum as he strolled.
