Flights see travellers from all walks of life head to the airport and onto the plane. Unfortunately, not all plane passengers understand the importance of good travel etiquette. One man’s behaviour has gone viral on Instagram after he was shamed by social media users.
Rather than perching on just the one seat, the navy-clad man has managed to take up nearly three seats.
He has spread his legs so far apart and splayed his feet to take up the floor space of the three seats.
The plane passenger appears to be totally engrossed in his mobile and doesn’t look to have clocked what others might think of his ‘manspreading.’
A woman sitting two seats along seems to be well aware of what he is up to.

Instagram account travelcreeps captioned the photo: “Either this man really wants to sit alone or he has the worst case of invisible elephantitus the world has ever seen.”
Social media users have shared their thoughts and feelings on the ‘manspreading.’
“Ha! The look on that women’s face. She is so judging the manspreading,” one person wrote.
“The person taking this photo is as ignorant as the guy in the seat.”
Another agreed, posting: “Much ado about nothing!
“If someone approached he’d probably just move his legs and if not you could just say ‘Excuse me but can I sit here?’ But looks like there are other empty seats around.”
