Flight attendant reveals annoying habit passengers should avoid doing

Cabin crew staff will do anything to ensure their passengers have a safe and smooth journey.

In some cases, especially when it’s not in the hands of the flight attendants, things can go wrong.

Delays could occur which can be caused by turbulence, but sometimes it can be caused by the guests on board.

According to a former easyJet staff member, there’s one thing in particular that the workers hate having to deal with.

“The amount of time wasted by filling up overhead lockers with coats and bags”

Matt, who worked for the airline between 2016 and 2018, told Mirror Online what could cause delays.

He told the publication: “The amount of time wasted by filling up overhead lockers with coats and bags.

“Coats can go on top of bags and place your bags in wheels first.”

The former flight attendant also revealed that rudeness is very annoying on board.

“Cabin Crew are human beings, they have feelings and they want you to have the best flight ever,” he explained.

He added: “They are there for your safety and security and if they you’re nice to them then they are more than likely to go out of their way to make sure you have an awesome flight.

“Even little things like saying hello, goodbye and smiling at crew members can have a big impact on their day.”

Previously, a flight attendant revealed why you should never ask the workers to carry your luggage.

They took to Facebook to air their concerns after insurance firm AXA urged holidaymakers to get cabin crew to assist with their bags.

But this advice didn’t go down well with airline staff, with one ranting: “The international insurance firm released their list of travel trips and their number.

“One suggestion for avoiding back pain when travelling is… ask cabin crew to lift heavy baggage!”

Meanwhile, one flight attendant agreed the advice was unreasonable, saying: “We’re not mere helpers in flight. We’re safety professionals. We’re just there to assist the passengers.”
