Flight attendant believes passengers should NEVER forget this one item during long journey

Long-haul flights can be uncomfortable for some, with many passengers carrying certain items to make their journey easier.

One particular concern during a flight is dehydration, but this can be sorted by drinking more water.

However, according to a British Airways flight attendant, passengers should also remember to hydrate their skin.

Speaking to Business Insider, Rob Staines explained how travellers must never let their skin dry out during a long-haul flight.

“Always have a good moisturiser”

This is because cabins on commercial airlines are kept at a humidity level of 20%, which could lead to dehydration-related health issues.

However, there is a way of combating a situation like this.

Rob told the publication: “Always have a good moisturiser. It doesn’t have to be an expensive one.

“The one I use is Clinique for Men because it’s lightweight, it’s oil-free and it’s very intensive.”

Passengers are advised to moisturise before a flight, during and after to keep their skins hydrated.

And another way to keep fresh is to use a facial mist, according to Rob.

He added: “They’re so easy to use. They’re always in really small packages so they fit great into your liquids bag.”

Previously, another cabin crew member revealed why you should never ask for this drink on a flight.

Former air hostess Heather Poole has revealed to Mental Floss that a glass of Diet Coke was her nemesis.

She confessed: “Of all the drinks we serve, Diet Coke takes the most time to pour – the fizz takes forever to settle at 35,000 feet.

“In the time it takes me to pour a single cup of Diet Coke, I can serve three passengers a different beverage.

“So even though giving cans to first-class passengers is a big no-no, you’ll occasionally spy 12 ounces of silver trimmed in red sitting up there.”
