FLEUR EAST has revealed she was crippled with self-doubt after leaving her record label – but has finally bounced back with a new album.
The former X Factor star released Fearless yesterday, her first collection in five years.

But she said she considered quitting music entirely when things didn’t work out with Simon Cowell’s label Syco following the release of her debut Love, Sax and Flashbacks in 2015.
In an exclusive interview Fleur explained: “It was hard getting back on the horse and riding again after the last album and everything that happened there.
“It’s been a long journey, so that’s why I called it Fearless because I’ve had to become very brave and dig deep and be courageous to get this out.
“I’ve released this independently and had to go through a completely different route to get this out.
“It’s a hard industry. It’s tough, it’s very fickle.

“And a lot of the time, if you get a knock, you start to question your own ability, and you can deal with a lot of self-doubt as well, so it’s quite difficult to find the confidence to get back out and do it again.
“Doing the album by myself and going through the process of it all has made me fall back in love with music again and it’s reignited the flame.
“So yeah, it’s amazing.”
Fleur wed her fashion designer boyfriend Marcel Badiane-Robin last year and said she is already sick of being asked when she is having kids, echoing comments made by Ellie Goulding in Bizarre last week.

She added: “I think there’s a lot of pressure on women, particularly in an industry where you’re always having to be always on camera, singing on stage.
“So people think, ‘Oh when are you doing it?’.
“Because automatically they think you’ve got to put your career on hold and everything’s got to stop because you’re the one who has to have the child.
“I’ve never really pressured anybody, because you never know anyone’s circumstances, so just let people live their lives.”
