Drummer Mick Fleetwood sent concert-goers wild as he dropped a series of less-than-subtle clues about the much-anticipated festival next year.

Speaking to the crowd, 71-year-old Mick said that he and his bandmates still have “a big field to play”.

He is also said to have made reference to “a rained out festival in England next year”.

One fan shared a video of themselves reacting to the comments on Twitter, telling his followers: “Fleetwood Mac just confirmed Glastonbury 2020, maybe.

“100% maybe confirmed Glastonbury.”

Other fans flocked to social media to react to the good news, with one writing: “Fleetwood Mac rumours of playing Glastonbury 2020?!

“If I don’t get tickets I’m leaving the planet.”

Another shared: “So was that a Fleetwood Mac rumour of Glastonbury at the end??”

If Fleetwood Mac – which also features Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, John McVie, Mike Campbell, and Neil Finn – did appear at the festival then they would take the top billing of the line-up.

It has previously been speculated that Paul McCartney could also headline the weekend.

Fleetwood Mac have never played Glastonbury despite most other music icons making appearances over the years.

Mick recently admitted that the group would “burn in hell” if they didn’t ever take the chance to headline.

Confessing that they had been approached in the past, the rocker told The Independent: “Of course, we’ve been asked to play and it’s never worked out.

“I think I’ll burn in hell if we don’t do it one day.”

Meanwhile, this year’s Glastonbury will kick off at the end of the month, with Stormzy, The Killers, and The Cure headlining the 2019 festival.
