After a 30 year absence, Saved By The Bell is returning to screens.
And as well as a new cast of pupils at Bayside High, many old faces from the original show are back too.

Mario Lopez is returning as jock A.C. Slater, now working as a gym teacher at the school, and teaching the kids of his former classmates.
Showgirls star Elizabeth Berkley will be reprising her role as Jesse Spano too, though what she’s up to these days is not revealed.
Meanwhile, Zack Morris – Mark-Paul Gosselaar – has worked through the political ranks to become governor of California, shutting down schools in low-income areas, with pupils now moved to the upscale Bayside.

The son of Zack and Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Thiessen) Mac Morris also appears in the trailer, as does Jamie Spano, Jesse’s son, both pupils at Bayside High.
The original series aired over four seasons and 86 episodes, mixing comedy with more serious subjects like homelessness, drug use and environmental issues.

Former cast-member Dustin Diamond – who played Screech Powers in the series – won’t be returning, however.
In recent years, he’s experienced run-ins with the law, and was convicted of two misdemeanours, carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct, in 2015.

He was sentenced to probation, but broke its terms and was arrested again in 2016, though he appeared as himself in the Adult Swim comedy horror series Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell in 2017.
Penned by 30 Rock writer and producer, and creator of Netflix sitcom Great News Tracey Wigfield, the revived show will air on Peacock, NBCUniversal’s new streaming platform.
