First pictures of new £37m UK theme park with 70 rides on 250 acres

Gulliver’s Rother Valley theme park is a £37 million project which promises 70 rides for thrill seeking fans.

Families will also be able to stay on the grounds, either in a hotel with fun themed rooms or in a glamping site.

Now pictures of the construction at the site have emerged, and it looks like the project is well underway.

The park is owned by the same company that own Gulliver’s parks in Warrington, Matlock Bath and Milton Keynes.

This will be their biggest venture to date.

This park, called Gulliver’s Rother Valley, will create a family resort, where people can stay and enjoy the theme park.

So what does the park promise?

Families can stay in a hotel, with princess and pirate rooms, or choose from self catering woodland lodges and treehouses.

There will be an indoor water playzone on site a well as the only official Blast Arena attractions in Europe, where visitors can try NERF targeting range, Bazooka Archery and laser tag.

An indoor climbing area is on offer for the agile, while others can enjoy peaceful walks through the nature trails on the grounds.

In the theme park itself there will be a whopping 70 rides.

There will be themed areas such as Wild Western World, which is cowboy themed, as well as Toy Land, Smugglers Wharf and a Lost Jurassic World.

The Sun quoted Julie Dalton, managing director at Gulliver’s Valley, who said: “We are investing in the local economy through recruitment as close to the theme park resort as we can.

“So far we have used local businesses where possible and also invited local school children to share their ideas with us about what they want from the new resort on their doorstep.”

Thrill seekers will also benefit from this Alton Towers pass trick that lets parents go on rollercoaster rides without queuing.

The Parent Queue Share pass allows one parent to queue up and come off the ride, shortly after which the other can automatically go straight on without queuing.

This means one parent could queue with a child while another could look after another little one outside of the queue and still enjoy the tide.

A spokesperson for Alton Towers Resort, said: “We have offered the Parent Queue Share pass at Alton Towers Resort for many years now.

“It was introduced in the early 2000s following guest feedback. Guests can simply pick up a free card from the Box Office and it is valid on 18 of our most popular attractions.”
