FIFA 20 news: TOTY Nominations, Winter Upgrades Ratings Refresh latest

FIFA 20 developer EA Sports has lots of surprises planned for FIFA Ultimate Team players in the coming weeks and months.

The January transfer window typically culminates with Winter Ones to Watch cards, while the next round of Champions League fixtures will leave fans with a fresh batch of Road to the Final items.

Then there’s the FIFA 20 Team of the Year (TOTY), which should be fully unveiled for PS4, Xbox One and PC next week. Indeed, if it’s anything like last year, expect the TOTY announcement on January 6.

With so much going on in FIFA 20 right now, it’s likely the Winter Upgrades won’t be revealed until well into February.

Based on the busy FIFA schedule and the timetable for previous years, the Ratings Refresh won’t begin until Friday, February 14.

As part of the Winter Upgrades over a hundred FUT 20 player items will have their ratings permanently updated to reflect their form in the first half of the season.

With such a long wait before the Winter Upgrades are revealed, fans will have to make do with the FIFA 20 TOTY.

“The final Team of the Year will be announced in January, when special TOTY Player Items will be released in FUT Packs for a limited time in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team.”
