FIFA 20 Career Mode: Best young RW & RM to sign in career mode

Signing the right wide players are crucial; right wingers (RWs) and right midfielders (RMs) are capable of unlocking the full potential of your attack and, as a result, usually come with a weighty price tag. The modern winger is required to have pace, power and strong shooting skills, as well as the conventional dribbling and crossing ability. When you find the right winger for your team, he could become the most dangerous player on the pitch.

How to Choose the best young wingers (RW & RM) for FIFA 20 Career Mode

Here we are looking at the best young right wingers (RW) and right midfielders (RM) aged between 20 and 23 years old. They will all start the 2019/20 season with a rating of at least 76, with the potential to improve to at least 80. These young wingers could be the stars of the future if nurtured by the right manager.

Bear in mind, occasionally players can even outgrow their potentials, providing they perform exceptionally well for a long period. These high potential youngsters may not cost as much as the finished articles, but be prepared to part with a large proportion of your transfer budget.

For a full list of ALL the best young wingers (RW & RM) on Career Mode, look at the table at the end of this page.

Ousmane Dembele (OVR 84 – POT 90)

Age: 22

Position(s): RW, LW

Club: Barcelona

Country: France

Value: £37.4 million (Release Clause: £84.2 million)

Wage: £172,000 a week

Dembele joined Barcelona from Dortmund for a gargantuan £112.5 million fee. Since then he has helped Barcelona win back to back La Liga titles and was part of the French World Cup winning squad.

He hasn’t quite lived up to his transfer fee of two years ago, and you can secure his services for £75 million in FIFA 20. His £172,000 a week wage is high but you’ll be buying a player with a blistering speed stat of 93 and a superb dribbling stat of 89. His crossing stat of 84 also suggests he will provide sufficient deliveries to your middle men.

Serge Gnabry (OVR 84 – POT 87)

Age: 23

Position(s): RM, LM, LW, RW

Club: FC Bayern Munich

Country: Germany

Value: £34.8 million (Release Clause: £60 million)

Wage: £106,000 a week

After a one year loan spell at Hoffenheim, Gnabry had an outstanding first season with Bayern. He was massively instrumental in the German club’s treble winning season and was awarded player of the season, ahead of Kimmich and Lewandowski.

His FIFA 20 stats reflect his 18/19 season, including 89 sprint speed, 87 dribbling and 85 shot power. His £106,000 a week wage is a little high, but his release clause of £60m seems like a steal for the young German.

Steven Bergwijn (OVR 82 – POT 87)

Age: 21

Position(s): RW, LW

Club: PSV

Country: Netherlands

Value: £26.4 million (Release Clause: £38.9 million)

Wage: £20,000 a week

A product of the PSV youth system, Bergwijn had a breakthrough season for the Dutch team last year, netting 14 league goals and getting 12 league assists. He was unfortunate not to win his fourth Eredivisie trophy, losing out by three points to Ajax.

If you activate his £38.9 million release clause, you can get him for a cheap wage – starting at £20,000 a week. With his 89 speed, 87 dribbling and 85 ball control, Bergwijn is sure to be a tricky customer for any defender he comes up against.

Carlos Soler (OVR 80 – POT 87)

Age: 22

Position(s): RM, CM

Club: Valencia CF

Country: Spain

Value: £18.5 million (Release Clause: £42.5 million)

Wage: £32,000 a week

Soler joined Valencia when he was 17-years-old and has slowly worked his way in to the first team. Last year he made 51 appearances for the Spanish side and got himself 4 goals and 11 assists in all competitions. However, he could be achieving much higher numbers if you were to unlock his full potential of 87.

His short passing stat of 84 and crossing stat of 81 means he could be a useful player for your team and would be handy over a free kick, with a free kick accuracy of 82. The Spaniard will set you back £37 million and £32,000 a week.

Melendo (OVR 80 – POT 86)

Age: 21

Position(s): RM, LM, CAM, LW

Club: Espanyol

Country: Spain

Value: £15.8 million (Release Clause: £36.4 million)

Wage: £21,000 a week

Melendo made 11 appearances in the 16/17 La Liga season at just 19 years of age. Since then he has achieved consistent game time, but is yet to blow anyone away with his scoring or assist stats. Maybe your club could help him fulfill his potential.

The Spaniard is set to cost you his £36.4 million release clause and £21,000 a week in wages. His 90 balance means he will cope well against an opponent’s challenge, whereas his 81 dribbling and 83 passing means he is useful on the ball.

Federico Chiesa (OVR 79 – POT 87)

Age: 21

Position(s): RW, CF

Club: Fiorentina

Country: Italy

Value: £16.3 million (Release Clause: £32.6 million)

The Italian’s release clause will set you back £32.6 million and you’ll have to cover a £42,000 a week wage bill. Nevertheless, Chiesa is a useful winger with the ability to beat defenders with his 84 dribbling or leaving them in the dust after using his 87 acceleration.

Viktor Tsygankov (OVR 79 – POT 86)

Age: 21

Position(s): RM, LM

Club: Dynamo Kiev

Country: Ukraine

Wage: £880 a week

Viktor Tsygankov achieved an extraordinary 11 goals and six assists in just 22 league games last season. He also bagged himself two goals and four assists in the Europa League.

For a cost of £30 million, but very low wages starting at £880 a week, Tsygankov is certainly worth a punt. He possesses a sprint speed of 84 and promising passing stats of 80 rated short passes and 76 rated crossing. With a bit of training he could create some serious chances from your right wing.

Richarlison (OVR 79 – POT 84)

Age: 22

Position(s): RM, LM

Club: Everton

Country: Brazil

Value: £15 million (Release Clause: £29.5 million)

Wage: £64,000 a week

Richarlison’s 86 sprint speed coupled with his 81 rated finishing means he could bag plenty of goals for your team. His release clause of £29.5 million and £64,000 a week wage demands seem a reasonable price for the Brazilian right mid.

Cengiz Under (OVR 78 – POT 86)

Age: 21

Position(s): RW, RM

Club: Roma

Country: Turkey

Value: £13.6 million (Release Clause: £25.9 million)

Wage: £31,000 a week

Under has been an exciting prospect at Roma over the last two seasons, scoring 15 goals and getting 13 assists in 67 appearances. He even managed three goals and two assists in the Champions League last season.

The Turkish international’s release clause of £25.9 million seems like a fair price, especially for a player with 86 potential, and his £31,000 a week wage bill is affordable. Under’s stats suggest he is a talented all-rounder with 85 acceleration, 83 dribbling, 83 crossing and 82 shot power. His versatility would suit any side well.

Martin Odegaard (OVR 78 – POT 85)

Age: 20

Position(s): RW, CAM
