How to choose the best young attacking midfielders (CAMs) on FIFA 20 Career Mode
Here we are looking at the best young attacking midfielders aged between 20 and 23 years old.
They will all start the 2019/20 season with a rating of at least 76, with the potential to improve to at least 80.
These high potential youngsters will make a large dent in your transfer budget, but will be worth the money as they could command your midfield for the next 10 years.

Kai Havertz (OVR 84 – POT 92)
Age: 20

Club: Bayer Leverkusen
Country: Germany
Value: £41.4 million (Release Clause: £78.7 million)
Wage: £63,000 a week
Kai Havertz is a product of the Leverkusen youth system and had a fantastic 2018/19 season with 20 goals and seven assists in 42 appearances; a superb return from a 20 year old.
The German’s FIFA 20 stats reflect his quality with 89 sprint speed, 87 ball control and 85 short passing. Havertz already has the capability to run your midfield and can grow to his potential of an immense 92. You will have to splash the cash if you want the young German on your team as his release clause is £78.7 million and you’ll have to up his wages to £80,000 a week.
Dele Alli (OVR 84 – POT 89)

Dele Alli joined Spurs from MK Dons in 2015 and has since become one of the first names on the team sheet. In 186 appearances, the attacking midfielder has scored 53 goals and made 49 assists. Despite of this, Alli is yet to win any silverware with the North London club, so may favour a move away.

His 88 positioning demonstrates his understanding of the game, whilst his 86 ball control and 84 short passing means he has the tools to act on it. The Englishman will set you back £68 million and £104,000 a week in wages.
Julian Brandt (OVR 84 – POT 88)

Julian Brandt moved to Dortmund this summer after six seasons with Leverkusen. The German managed 42 goals and 51 assists with his last club, all before he turned 24.
Brandt has a solid set of stats including 86 sprint speed, 86 dribbling and 86 short passing. You can either pay Brandt’s release clause of £62.9 million to sign him immediately or wait until January 2020 and offer Dortmund £55 million. Of course, you’ll also have to cover his £84,000 a week wages.
Pablo Fornals (OVR 81 – POT 87)

Pablo Fornals is an experienced attacking midfielder for his age, with 129 La Liga appearances for Villarreal and Malaga. He also helped his national team win the under 21 European Championship this year. His success did not go unnoticed and the Spaniard was signed by West Ham this summer.

Pablo Fornals has a useful set of stats for a number 10 including 83 vision, 82 ball control and 82 short passing. You can either sign him from West Ham immediately by activating his £46.3 million release clause and paying his £74,000 a week wage, or wait until January 2020 and offer West Ham £38 million.
Donny van de Beek (OVR 81 – POT 87)

Donny van de Beek is a tribute to the Ajax youth system, developing in to an exciting young attacking midfielder. He scored 17 goals and made 13 assists in the 2018/19 season which Ajax took by storm. The Dutch midfielder and his team won the Eredivisie, a Dutch domestic trophy and, of course, made it to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Van de Beek’s 85 rated positioning reflects his experience in the midfield, whilst his 84 rated ball control and 83 short passing means he is more than capable with the ball at his feet. The Dutchman’s release clause of £35.3 million is a good price and you’ll likely have to increase his wages to £40,000 a week.
Lucas Paqueta(OVR 79 – POT 89)

Lucas Paqueta joined AC Milan as recently as January 2019. He has had a steady start to his Italian career with 21 appearances for Milan, resulting in one goal and three assists. If you think you could unlock his potential more efficiently you might want to sign him.
The Brazilian has good stats, with highlights being 84 rated dribbling, 84 stamina and 81 positioning. You’ll have to pay Milan around £31 million for the midfielder and meet his wage demands of £29,000 a week.
Dani Olmo (OVR 79 – POT 87)

Aleksandr Golovin (OVR 79 – POT 85)

His vision rating of 84 and 83 short passing means he is unlikely to misplace a pass, whilst his free kick accuracy stat of 82 displays that he is handy over a free kick. To sign Maddison, you’ll have to activate his £30.2 million release clause and cover his £65,000 a week wage demands.
Matias Zaracho(OVR 78 – POT 87)
