Larry ‘Flash’ Jenkins has died, aged 63.

The actor, best known for his role in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, passed away earlier this week, in LA.

The Blast reports the star died ‘suddenly’ of a heart attack.

He racked up a string of acting credits throughout his career, with his first role coming in TV movie Crisis In Sun Valley.

Larry also starred in Fletch – with Chevy Chase – Mr Mom and M*A*S*H, and he had a recurring role in TV series Bay City Blues.

But it’s his small but hilarious role in Ferris Bueller that fans will remember him from most.

He played a valet driver in the 1986 cult classic, alongside Matthew Broderick and Jennifer Grey, and stole Cameron’s dad’s Ferrari for a joy ride.

As well as acting, he was an active member of his local church, and also found time to get behind the camera, founding Flashworks Productions and Gold Coast Productions LLC.

He produced a series of gospel films, including Don’t Touch, If You Ain’t Prayed, House of Grace, and Pastor Jones.

His last two films, Anna Lucasta and The Gospel Truth, are currently in pre-production.

Larry is survived by 25-year-old son Jeffrey.
