Ferne McCann says she feels sexier than ever after leaving Towie and being unable to get out of bed

AS she shot to fame on The Only Way is Essex, Ferne McCann was secretly struggling to get out of bed because of her unhealthy lifestyle.

The reality TV star’s wild partying left her feeling “sluggish and unmotivated” – and put pressure on her mental health.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun since transforming her body and mind, Ferne says she’s feeling sexy than ever – and reveals just ten minutes of daily exercise helped her lose weight.

“Right now I feel at my fittest, I feel at my healthiest, I feel at my strongest – and yes you could say I feel at my sexiest as well,” beamed Ferne.

“Exercise has had had a major impact on my life. I remember when I was filming for Towie and there were some days where I used to think ‘I don’t even want to get out of bed’.

“At my worst I was feeling lethargic, no energy, sluggish and not motivated to go to work.

“I used to think that I was healthy but I didn’t apply exercise to my life. It has a huge impact on your mental health.

“Me at my best now is feeling super energised, feeling fit and ready to seize the day.

“You get a real sense of clarity and I believe it’s like a form of meditation almost. Just to go and destress and be in the present moment and not look on your phone and just train for ten minutes.”

Ferne insists she is defined by how much she weighs after years of being obsessed with the scales.

“I’m just sick of it,” said mum-of-one Ferne.

“I don’t want to be defined by a number, it’s all about how you feel.”

The 30-year-old has just launched her very own Shape It Up 6 Week Programme to kick-start 2021.

She’s also got a new podcast, journal, meditation videos and family-friendly meals for those looking to change their lives in 2021.

Ferne designed it to help mums fit exercising at home around their children – with three 10 minute workouts.

“It’s hard to believe that you can get a good workout in ten minutes – but you really can,” Ferne says.

“These short sharp intense workouts will get you sweating because it’s a programme designed for busy mums.

“And look, I believe that doing something is better than doing nothing. When you start or finish your day off with working out, you’re going to feel amazing.

“If I’m exercising it has to be fun and keep me engaged so that’s why we’ve got lots and lots of different stuff on the embodiment, from boxing, to dance, to hiit, to yoga.

“As a busy parent, sometimes you don’t find the time, but you need to prioritise the time because I know how unbelievable it’s going to make me feel by working out, eating healthily, hitting my water intake, meditating and applying mindfulness to my life.

“By doing all of these things, not only am i going to feel better, but I’m also going to be a better parent.

“I’m also going to be more on the ball and professional when I’m at work.

“No one ever regrets a workout. I love that quote ‘the harder I work the luckier I get’ – and when you start working out and looking after yourself and keeping yourself at an optimum state of health, everything else falls into line.

“If you have a knock or a wobble you’ve got the tools that just keep you well equipped to bounce back. “
