Bruno Fernandes was reluctant to talk about his blossoming partnership with Paul Pogba after Manchester United’s win over Brighton.
Pogba continued to impress on his long-awaited return from injury, and set up Fernandes for one of his two goal in the Red Devils’ 3-0 victory at the Amex.
Fernandes seems to be getting the best out of the French World Cup winner who until recently appeared dead set on leaving United.
But after Wednesday’s game, Fernandes preferred to downplay their midfield partnership out of respect for their other teammates.
“Of course Paul is an amazing player, but I don’t want to talk too much about me and Paul because it’s not fair for our other players and other team-mates,” Fernandes said to Sky Sports.

“Me and Paul think the same way, we are really happy when we play together, of course, but I’m happy to play with everyone.”
Fernandes did confirm that he felt he and Pogba can continue to work well together going forward.
But he also hailed Nemanja Matic, who sat in behind the pair, and some of United’s other options Fred, Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard.
“Of course Paul has so many good qualities and we know he is so important for us and I think we can combine together,” said Fernandes.
“We have qualities and we can play together.
“But also we know we have some team-mates we know can do very well when we are out or when we play without the other one.
“It’s not fair for the other guys if we just talk about me and Paul, because Fred and Scotty, they did an amazing job before the stop, Nemanja is a guy doing very well.
“Also Andreas and Jesse who can play No.10, or Juan, they have such good qualities and they give a lot for the team.

“I think it’s not fair to talk about me and Paul. We are a team, we’re training together, they push me to do better, they push Paul to do better, I push Paul, Paul pushes me.
“In the end, it’s team work.”
