SHE announced the end of her 20-year-old marriage to Phil Vickery at the end of last month, and now it seems Fern Britton has a new lease for life.
The 62-year-old TV star took to Twitter over the weekend to admit she has been feeling the pressure somewhat.
Not only is the mum-of-four going through a break up but she’s also attempting to finish her book.
The former This Morning presenter took to social media and posted: “Almost finished book 9 #DaughtersOfCornwall ! A bit late because been slightly under the cosh.
“Reminding myself that life is for living. Might get some pics tomorrow of Atlantic Breakers as #StormCiara blows in. If I don’t get knocked off the cliff I’ll post them,” she added.
Fern was inundated with sweet replies from her followers, with one telling her: “Remember to look after yourself.”
A second person added: “Oh gosh Fern, stay well away from those cliffs. Take care,” while a third person replied: “Take care of yourself. You are a beautiful lady inside and out. Hope things get better for you real soon.”
Fans were shocked when Fern announced her marriage to the TV chef was over.
She wrote on Twitter: “After more than 20 happy years together, Phil and I have decided to go our separate ways. We will always share a great friendship and our lovely children.
“We would appreciate it if our privacy is respected at this time. Thankyou for your continued kindness and support.”
Fern married Phil in 2000 following her split from Clive Jones in the same year. Phil split from his ex Sarah Ann Lock in 1999.
The couple share daughter Winnie, 17, together. She also has twins Harry and Jack, and daughter Grace, with her ex Clive.
Phil and Fern met on This Morning, when Fern hosted alongside Phillip Schofield.
