She previously praised her mum for helping her to find her feet when her first marriage ended in 1998.
The following year, Fern met Phil when she was fronting cookery show Ready Steady Cook.
They married in the spring of 2000 and welcomed their daughter in August 2001.
The former couple announced their separation on social media in January 2020, shortly before the coronavirus pandemic struck.
In between writing during lockdown, The Daughters of Cornwall author has been documenting her life on the micro-blogging site.
