FaZe Banks has been accused of trashing a hotel room in Las Vegas, causing more than $30,000 (£26,000) of damage.

The YouTuber and Twitch star, who founded FaZe Clan, a hugely successful group of eSports stars, was staying at the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas after enjoying a night out.

It’s said that police were called to his room on a destruction of property call.

TMZ reports that there was ‘smashed furniture, holes in the walls, a smashed window, broken lamp stand, pictures ripped off the wall, stains on the carpet and more’ in the room, with the damage totaling tens of thousands of dollars.

He recently said he’s ‘getting better’ (Picture: Twitter)

A rep for Banks told the site: ‘FaZe Clan and Encore are working together to resolve this matter.’

Banks celebrated his birthday on 18 October and, just days after the alleged incident, the star – real name Ricky Banks – tweeted he was ‘getting better’ after ‘a weird few months’.

‘I’m not getting older, I’m getting better,’ he wrote. ‘Been a weird few months, but we’re good now. New year, new me. Thanks for the birthday love, I fkn adore you guys.’

Boasting a following of more than five million on YouTube, 27-year-old Banks rose to fame with his gaming videos, before delving into the vlogging world.

He was renowned for his feud with Jake Paul, after he began dating the Team 10 member’s ex-girlfriend Alissa Violet.

The pair went on to quash the drama in May, with Banks announcing that he and Alissa had split in July.

Banks wrote: ‘Alissa and I decided about a month ago that we should take some time apart. Love that girl to death and always will. I’ll never say a bad word about her. This s***’s about as hard to deal with as it gets. Please respect our privacy through this.

‘To clarify too, this wasn’t one sided by any means. Just like everything else we’ve ever done, it was a team decision. Alissa is the most amazing soul I’ve ever come in contact with. She deserves love and support. She’ll continue to have mine forever.’
