Faryal Makhdoom gives birth to first baby son with Amir Khan

Faryal Makhdoom has given birth to her third child – a baby boy.

She and her boxing champ husband Amir Khan welcomed their little son, who joins his older sisters Lamaisah Khan, four, and 21-month-old Alayha Khan.

Sharing the news on social media, the happy couple wrote: “My beautiful Son Muhammad Zaviyar Khan was born today 22/02/20 weighing 7lbs 12oz. #dadofthree #alhumdulilah #blessed”

Faryal and Amir married in 2013 and have been through more than their fair share of rocky patches.

Amir was embroiled in cheating claims, while a family feud between Faryal and her inlaws threatened to tear their marriage apart.

In 2017 Amir split from his wife and accused her on Twitter of cheating on him with Anthony Joshua, before withdrawing his claims and reconciling with pregnant Faryal.

Amir later addressed their split, telling the Loose Women panel in early 2018: “What went wrong? A lack of communication. You want to change things at times, the way it went public wasn’t nice… anger sometimes takes over.

“That happened in 2017. Hopefully going into 2018 we’ve both put that behind us, we’ve got a lovely baby coming this year, we also have Lamaisah, our daughter.”

Faryal added at the time: “It was just a misunderstanding. I was in England, he was in Dubai, he thought he was a bit cool in Dubai doing some tweets.”

In August 2019, the couple confirmed they were expanding their family again with a new addition.

They shared the news on Instagram with a gender reveal balloon, with Faryal bursting into tears when Amir punched the balloon to reveal sparkling blue confetti.

“Oh wow, it’s a boy!” he shouted as he embraced his wife.

Since then, Faryal has been documenting her pregnancy on Instagram, sharing snaps of her growing baby bump with fans.

It comes after Amir found himself under fire for revealing he and his family celebrate Christmas.

The boxer, who has spoken proudly in the past of his Islamic faith, was the centre of criticism after sharing a snap of him, Faryal and their two girls posing by a Christmas tree.

He hit back on Twitter, telling fans: “So shocked by all the hate I’m getting on my Twitter & Instagram for wishing everyone Merry Christmas and posting a picture with my family in Christmas outfits.

“Just want to tell those people, ‘I don’t give a f**k.'”

Congratulations, Faryal and Amir!
