If you’re sick of 2020, we’ve found the perfect secluded bolt hole for you to hunker down and wait for it all to be over.

This epic treehouse is snuggled among snow-capped pine trees in Whitefish, Montana (USA).

We’re not talking about the kind of treehouse you used to climb us as a kid either – this is a luxury one-bed, one-bath eco-creation with all the latest mod-cons.

Two living trees grow through the centre of the house, so you can connect with nature even if it’s too chilly to head outside. At its entrance is a grand spiral staircase made from a Douglas fir tree.

Inside, you’ve got Wi-Fi, a TV, a complete kitchen and two perfect viewing platforms – perfect for supping a hot toddy from.

Don’t worry about being disturbed by anyone; the treehouse sits in the middle of five private acres and comes with its own hiking trails and campfire ring.

If grand isolation gets a little too much, there’s a ski resort and golf course just down the road.

‘Close to all of the fine dining and good eats that Whitefish has to offer and nearby attractions but set in a private forest setting that feels like you are far away from it all,’ the Vrbo listing says.

‘From the treehouse, you feel completely secluded in your own private wooded Montana paradise! Watch deer from the treehouse deck and listen to nature’s symphony of birds and crickets. This is a must once in a lifetime vacation that you will never forget!’

Of course, most of us are going to have to wait until this crisis is over but imagine how glorious it’ll be to stay somewhere like this when we can travel properly!

In the meantime, why not check out some of the epic forests we’ve got right here in the UK? There are plenty of luxury, unique country retreats on AirBnB.
