Fallout 76 Raids UPDATE: Vault 94 patch notes, release time for PS4, Xbox One, PC

Fallout 76 developer Bethesda is about to release the game’s big Vault 94 update.

The next major Fallout 76 update finally adds Raids on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

While there’s no exact launch time, Patch 12 will be released on PC and consoles on August 20.

Fallout 76 updates and maintenance does vary, so expect a launch time between 3pm and 6.30pm BST.

Express Online will update this article when the update time and server downtime is announced and full patch notes are released.

It’s also worth pointing out that while Patch 12 will be available on all platforms on August 20, Raids will have a staggered launch throughout the week.

This is so Bethesda can test the new Instancing technology, which ensures that only your team are present in each dungeon.

“As this new Instancing technology is coming to the game for the first time in Patch 12, we are currently planning to open Vault 94 first on PC on August 20,” Bethesda explains.

“If Vault Raids on PC run smoothly over the following days, we will open the Vault for consoles, as well.

“Patch 12 will still be released across all platforms on the same day. However, staggering the release of Vault 94 between platforms will allow us more flexibility to address issues that may not be apparent until larger playerbase gains access to Vault 94 than our internal playtests allow.

“If significant issues are discovered, we can disable the Raid on PC until we’ve implemented the necessary fixes, and then bring Vault 94 back online for all platforms.”

There are three different Vault 94 missions, although only one will be available on any given week.

“You and your squad can tackle the first mission, ‘Dead in the Water’, as soon as the door to Vault 94 opens on each platform.

“‘Meltdown’ and ‘Washout’ will become available on all platforms during the following weeks on August 27 and September 3, respectively.

“It’s also important to note that Vault 94 will be temporarily re-sealed for around three hours each week, as one mission comes to an end and the next is prepared to begin.”

Bethesda recommends tackling Raids with players on level 50 or above. The developer also confirms that better rewards will be available for completing Raids on a higher difficulty.

Elsewhere, Patch 12 will make a ton of changes to the core game on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

According to the early patch notes, this includes Nuclear Winter balance changes, as well as a new instant stairs item that lets you climb upwards quickly.

The cap limit will be increased to 30,000, per character, the Charleston Capitol Courthouse will be redesigned and display cases will let you showcase your gear.

“Adding items to a Display works much like assigning items to Vending Machines or a Fermenter,” Bethesda explains.

“Once you’ve built a Display in your C.A.M.P. you can assign items to it directly from your Stash and they’ll appear for all your visitors to admire.

“Items you place in your Displays will remain in your Stash, but a new “trophy” icon will appear next to their names so that it’s easy to identify what you’re showing off at a glance.”
