FA Cup third round ties confirmed as Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal learn fate

Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur will head to minnows Marine in the FA Cup third round.

Spurs have been paired with the Northern Premier League Division One side, who play host to Mourinho’s men after overcoming Havant & Waterlooville in the second round.

Another of the Non-League hopefuls, Chorley, have been handed a home tie also, against Wayne Rooney’s Derby County – currently bottom of the Championship.

Stockport, of the National League, have also been handed home advantage in their tie against West Ham.

Arguably the most mouthwatering tie of the round sees Premier League champions Liverpool head to Aston Villa for their first meeting since the Reds were destroyed 7-2 at Villa Park earlier this season.

Manchester United host Championship side Watford, while Chelsea play host to League Two Morecambe.

Marine will host Jose Mourinho’s Spurs

Elsewhere, holders Arsenal host Newcastle United, while Wolves will face Crystal Palace in another all-Premier League tie.

Crawley Town have been drawn to play Leeds at home, while Bristol Rovers have been rewarded for thrashing Darlington 6-0 in the second round with a home tie against Sheffield United.

The ties will be played between January 8 and January 11, and, this year, in contrast to other years, there will be no replays.

As such, any ties that are level after 90 minutes will go to extra-time and, if necessary, penalties.
