The Football Association has promoted its chief commercial and football development officer, Mark Bullingham, to replace the outgoing Martin Glenn as chief executive.
The FA has been looking for a new CEO since Glenn announced in December that he would be stepping down. Bullingham’s official start date is yet to be confirmed.
Bullingham joined the FA in August 2016 as commercial director from Fuse Sports & Entertainment, and is credited with several high-profile broadcast and sponsorship deals.
“This is an incredibly exciting time to be at The Football Association and I’m delighted to be given this opportunity,” said Bullingham.
“I’m hugely passionate about the role The FA plays in improving the English game and our positive contribution to society. Getting kids across the country active and learning life skills such as teamwork and communication is incredibly rewarding.
