K-pop star Suho is going solo with a new album due out later this month.

The EXO member is set to release Self Portrait, his debut album as a solo artist, on 30 March.

But EXO fans don’t have anything to worry about, as the singer is still very much a part of the boy group.

SM Entertainment shared artwork on EXO’s official Twitter, of Suho’s face rendered lovingly in paint by the man himself.

It was followed by a release schedule announcing the dates EXO-L can expect to see teasers and images about the album concept, kicking off on 18 March with a ‘mood sampler’.

The mini album will be six tracks long with SM revealing Suho was fully involved in song production.

Suho, who recently appeared in the musical The Man Who Laughs, has released solo tracks in the past including Starlight and the OST Sedansogu.

He is the third EXO member to go solo after band mates Baekhyun and Chen.

Rappers Chanyeol and Sehun have also teamed up for the sub unit EXO-SC.

It comes as SM Entertainment shared they will be focusing on members’ solo and unit projects for the time being as the idols prepare to begin their mandatory military enlistment.

In a statement released last month following the news Chen will be getting married, the company said: ‘With several members currently awaiting their mandatory military enlistment duties, it has been decided since last year that EXO will focus on solo and unit promotions for this year. We will reveal the members’ individual promotional plans accordingly from here on out.

‘EXO will continue to promote actively as EXO, as soloists, and as unit groups in a variety of fields, repaying the fans for their love.’

Additionally, Baekhyun shared he is currently in the studio working on something new.

EXO is currently made up of Suho, Chen, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, Sehun, Lay, Kai, Xiumin and D.O. Xiumin and D.O. are in the military and Lay is promoting as a solo artist in China and the US.
