Exhausted mum-of-three shares candid parenting photo she’d normally delete – because ‘I’ll miss these moments one day’

A MUM-OF-THREE has showed a candid parenting snap she says she’d normally delete – and it’s very relatable.

Olympic gold medallist Libby Trickett, 34, from Australia, found the photo on her phone – after it was taken by her four-year-old Poppy.

It shows the mum fresh faced in comfy clothes, doing 18-month-old toddler Eddie’s hair while baby Bronte lies in her lap.

And despite admitting it’s not her most “flattering” angle, Libby says she recognises things she’ll miss in the future.

Posting on Instagram, she wrote: “Shot captured by my four year old. It’s funny, she takes photos like these all the time and more often than not, I scroll and delete because let’s be honest, she’s not all about capturing the flattering angles.

“But this one I looked beyond what I normally hope to see in a ‘nice’ picture of me and the girls and I saw an image that I know I’ll miss in the future.”

“There’s not many more days that Bronte will continue to fit in my lap and it won’t be long before Eddie will want to do her own hair (if I’m honest, she’s so stubborn she would do her own hair now if she could!).

“Sure there’s constantly laundry that needs to be folded and someone is generally crying about something and there’s broken bones and snotty noses and new challenges that will come in our future.

“But I know, one day, I will miss these moments and I’m so glad Poppy captured it.”

Libby’s been praised by her fellow mums for the candid post.

One wrote: “I LOVE this pic !!!! That’s how it is”.

While a second said: “This is gorgeous! I love this so much Libby”.

And a third commented: “This is so special and so beautiful and you are a legend for sharing”.

Another mum said: “Beautiful photo, one day a beautiful memory captured. I would give anything to have these baby days again, they go way too fast..”

Libby, who’s married to fellow swimmer Luke Tricket, won gold medals at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympics.

Their youngest daughter Bronte was born on November 8, via C-section, and Libby’s previously spoken about her battle with post-natal depression.

Libby retired from swimming in 2013, due to injury.

Last week, an ‘exhausted’ new mum shares emotional hospital pic to explain why she’s begging visitors to stay away for two days.
