Ex-Labour peer Lord Sugar snubs Corbyn by urging voters to back Boris – 'Don't HIRE him!'

Writing in The Sun, Lord Sugar – who is a former Labour peer – told voters to vote for Boris Johnson in order for the UK to break the Brexit stalemate. The Apprentice boss also said a vote for the Tories is the only way to secure the longevity of the Labour party.

The successful businessman warned that the party’s plans would create “economic chaos”.

He said: “Jeremy Corbyn has turned Labour into a negative anti-business party that is clueless on how the economy works.

“His £1.2trillion spending splurge is complete madness.”

Lord Sugar also revealed that this week’s election is “the most significant in my lifetime.”

He added: “As a former Jewish Labour man, this is a difficult thing for me to write.

“On Thursday, it’s time for Sun readers to tell Corbyn to resign and get a sensible person to take the helm and make Labour great again.”

The lifelong Labour supporter is a welcome boost for Mr Johnson’s Tories.

The Prime Minister is currently battling with Mr Corbyn to win at least 20 major Labour seats in the West Midlands and the north of England.

“Personally, I didn’t want Brexit, but enough is enough now — I’m sick of this nonsense.

Business and families are crying out for economic certainty to plan for the years ahead with confidence.

“We just need to get Brexit over with.

“That won’t happen in a hung parliament, or with Corbyn’s Labour in power.”

Mr Johnson has pledged to spend £1.8billion on the NHS if he remains in power, with 20 hospitals destined to be revamped.

He has also promised to provide the NHS with 50,000 more nurses and 50 million for GP appointments a year.

If Mr Johnson wins the election, he has promised to deliver Brexit before Christmas.

His withdrawal agreement ditches the Northern Irish backstop and allows the UK to have its own trade deals, along with ending EU law.

His next steps after the election will see him try to push his Brexit deal back through the House of Commons and, if he is successful, takes us out the EU.

Mr Johnson will then begin discussing trade deals with the bloc to try and give the UK a decent trade deal.
