“Gotta admit thought you already were married…..amazing news,” they wrote in the comments.

Melissa is best known for being the third actress to have played Lucy Beale on the BBC soap.

She starred in the role for six years, but was reportedly fired in 2010 for drinking underage amid warnings over her “unruly” behaviour.

At the time, Melissa branded the sacking “unfair”.

The role of Lucy was later played by Hetti Bywater before the famous character was killed off in 2015.
