POINT3 recently launched gaming apparel after historically targeting the basketball market. The gaming apparel, according to a release, is the only apparel line that uses POINT3’s patented ‘DRYV®’ technology. EG and POINT3 are collaborating on a capsule collection using DRYV®.

Michael Luscher, Founder and CEO of POINT3, told Esports Insider: “We know that sweaty hands are a real issue for competitive gamers and after immersing ourselves in the gaming space, we realised that there was lots of room to innovate for this new, modern athlete.

“From our first point of contact with the team at Evil Geniuses they’ve shared in that vision and we think this capsule collection is the embodiment of that.”

Evil Geniuses last week partnered with American brewery Elysian Brewing, and earlier this month partnered with Bud Light. In January of this year EG also partnered with Cxmmunity to help empower historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). This is POINT3’s first esports partnership.

Brian Millman, Director of Partnerships at Evil Geniuses, also told ESI: “Our teams pride themselves on always being on the cutting edge of competition, so we’re pleased to bring POINT3’s innovative technology and performance apparel to our fans.”

EG currently has top teams in Dota 2, CS:GO, and the League of Legends LCS in North America.

Esports Insider says: This is a continuation of EG’s strategy of partnering with American entities. POINT3 has entered esports by partnering with a highly reputable NA org in EG; it will be interesting to see how far POINT3 goes in the industry. We don’t know much about their patented technology, but one can assume the company plans to agree more deals with teams in the coming months.
