Evil Geniuses and FVBET Agree to a Two-Year Sponsorship

North American esports organization Evil Geniuses Database-Link-e1521645463907 has announced a two-year sponsorship deal with Philippines-based betting and content company FVBET. This is the first Asian-focused sponsorship Evil Geniuses has signed. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

FVBET is a betting and content company based in the Philippines. It offers betting in esports and esports news content. Between June 1016, it sponsored the FVBET Asian Masters League for Dota 2 Database-Link-e1521645463907, bringing together 16 teams from China and Southeast Asia and awarding a $29K USD prize pool (¥200K CNY).

FVBET has the ability to allow us to connect with our international fans in a capacity that was previously unavailable, and the opportunities this partnership creates are something we are looking forward to exploring,” said Evil Geniuses CEO Nicole LaPointe Jameson.

Some of the most prominent betting companies in the world already offer betting on esports competitions, and many of them also invest in the sector. Earlier this month, Betway agreed to a six-figure deal with PSG.LGD, and VIE.gg was added as a jersey sponsor of Dignitas. In November 2018, betting company Kindred Group signed a two-year sponsorship through its Unibet brand with team Astralis, the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Database-Link-e1521645463907 2018 world champions.

Evil Geniuses currently runs teams in games such as Dota 2, Fortnite Database-Link-e1521645463907, Rainbow Six Siege Database-Link-e1521645463907, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Database-Link-e1521645463907, Street Fighter V Database-Link-e1521645463907, and Rocket League Database-Link-e1521645463907, and has sponsorship deals with Razer, Xfinity, and Monster Energy.
