Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga enjoyed a ‘special relationship’ while filming and promoting A Star Is Born.

Their close connection was not hidden away from the public but it was allegedly still hard for Bradley’s fiancée, supermodel Irina Shayk, to take as Gaga fawned over her partner.

While Bradley and Gaga’s closeness has not been blamed for him splitting from Irina and Gaga’s relationship with talent agent Christian Carino coming to an end, there have been a lot of fingers pointing in that direction.

Irina reportedly tackled Bradley about him ‘having an affair with Gaga’ on more than one occasion despite the pair’s denial they were nothing more than ‘good friends’.

Gaga revels in her “lifetime friendship” with Bradley

Lady Gaga has not been shy in enthusing about her relationship with Bradley.

When she supported him at the 32nd American Cinematheque Award, she was gushing in her tribute.

Gaga said: “He is such an incredible director and, you know, he made me a better actress.

“I just love him so much and he is such a dear friend of mine and I am just so proud to be here tonight.”

It was here that she admitted that their time together didn’t stop when the cameras stopped filming.

She continued: “We talk all the time, yeah. And it’s exciting and wonderful and we are both so grateful for how the film is being received.

“You know, that’s what’s really come out of all of this for me: the reward of a lifetime friendship with someone I deeply respect.”

THAT Oscars performance of Shallow

There’s no doubt that the performance of Shallow by Bradley and Gaga was the talk of the Oscars night.

As the sparks flew on stage, Irina sat in the front row putting on a brave face as she watched the pair singing face-to-face, with Bradley’s arm around Gaga.

It sent Twitter into meltdown as viewers speculated on the nature of their relationship, while others tried to put it down to the pair ‘performing in character’ as they played lovers in the movie.

Before the performance, Bradley told Entertainment Tonight: “We worked really hard all week and I just want to make sure we give people what they want. It was a great collaboration.”

Gaga was once again fulsome in her praise, tweeting: “Nothing could be more special than sharing this moment at the Oscars with a true friend and artistic genius.”

Gaga admits “people saw love” as she hits back at romance rumours

Lady Gaga was dismissive of any romance talk when opening to Jimmy Kimmel but she admitted that people would have ‘seen love’ in her Oscars performance with Bradley.

Hitting out at speculation, she said: “First of all, social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet and what it’s done to pop culture is abysmal.

“People saw love and, guess what, that’s what we wanted you to see. This is a love song. The movie, A Star Is Born , it’s a love story.”

“From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time,”

Gaga added that their intimcacy of the intimate nature of the Oscars performance. “When you’re singing love songs, that’s how you want people to feel.”

THOSE comments from Bradley’s ex-wife

Jennifer Esposito didn’t hold back when giving her assessment of her ex-husband with Gaga, and it would have hit hard to Irina.

After David Spade posted a photo of the Oscars performance on Instagram , Jennifer commented: “Is there any chance these two aren’t f***ing?”

Jennifer and Bradley were married for less than a year, 13 years ago, and she later clarified what she meant by the comment, with an explanation on Instagram.

She wrote: “I literally laughed at [Spade] because he was so bold in what he was saying and I thought it was funny. I’m allowed to think something is funny.”

Gaga hits out at fans during live show

Lady Gaga was beginning to feel the heat after her split from Christian Carino and Bradley’s relationship with Irina coming to an end.

During her Enigma show in Las Vegas, Gaga was heard defending Bradley before she sang Shallow.

Speaking to the audience, she told them: “Be kind, be kind or f*** off.”
