So creepy doll Annabelle is back in all her haunted glory, and she’s brought a whole bunch of her demented mates with her.

What a thrill.

In the fresh trailer for Annabelle Comes Home, the third film in the prequel tale of the Warrens in the Conjuring universe, we’re already given enough juice to keep us sufficiently traumatised for nights to come.

It begins with Ed and Lorraine Warren (played by the legendary Patrick Wilson and Vera Fermiga) locking the haunted toy in a cupboard quite clearly marked with the words ‘positively do not open’. Ominous.

Another declares in the clip: ‘It’s better to keep the genie in the bottle’, as we all nod in solidarity and the knowledge we’d never be so silly to summon a demon doll. Which is exactly what happens.

However, of course someone goes and messes with the dang thing and unleashes literal hell upon their daughter, poor 10-year-old Judy, who didn’t ask for any of this, and her two teen babysitters.

Like some conference of demonic preportions, though, Annebelle has also summoned a whole bunch of other freaky toys, as Lorraine ominously declared: ‘The doll, it’s a beacon for other spirits.’

Cool.

Basically, the whole two minutes 24 seconds of the trailer is just a whole bunch of nope that follows the first Annabelle spinoff and its sequel Creation.

Of course it hasn’t taken long for everyone to start conversing on social media about the literal horror that is about to confront them in the cinema when the movie is released in June.

‘This looks like the scariest movie of The Conjuring Universe yet,’ one excited punter wrote on Twitter today.

Another replied to the trailer on social media with: ‘If Annabelle comes home, I’m moving out immediately.’

Not a bad idea.

Other fans of the horror franchise are just way too excited about the whole thing for our liking.

‘I am beyond ready for Annabelle to come home!! I got goose bumps!!’ one said. ‘Hurry up June 28th!!!’

Sunday is supposed to be the day of rest, why are we dealing with these nightmare inducing scenes, eh?

Annabelle Comes Home is in cinemas June.
