Every Video Game Jedi Ever – IGN

The Jedi are known as the peacekeepers of the Galaxy in the Star Wars universe and with the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game from Respawn entertainment, we decided to round up every Jedi in Star Wars video games that we could find – in terms of being a playable character.

While we wait for the epic conclusion of the Skywalker Saga to release – Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker – check out this list and let us know your favorite Jedi character to play as in Star Wars video games.

(Note: Some of the characters in this list are non-canon to the Star Wars universe – but due to their strong presence in multiple video games, they were included in this list.)

Luke Skywalker

Luke Skywalker is a Jedi Master with abilities that many say make him one of the strongest Jedi ever. He is the son of Anakin Skywalker, who was a Jedi Knight before his turn to the dark side. Luke was trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda, before facing his father and completing his training to become a Jedi. Since Luke’s appearance in Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977, he has been recognized as one of the faces of Star Wars. He has appeared in dozens of Star Wars video games, including the LEGO Star Wars games and most recently Star Wars: Battlefront II.

Anakin Skywalker

Anakin Skywalker was a Jedi Knight before he became a Sith on the dark side with Darth Sidious. Anakin was declared the “Chosen One” and was meant to bring balance to the Force (which Luke later ended up being an extension of the prophecy). He was trained by Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, but ultimately went to the dark side due to his lack of ability to control his emotions and fears, largely due to Emperor Palpatine’s manipulations. Anakin has appeared in numerous Star Wars games as his Jedi-self over the years.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan Kenobi is a Jedi Master and was a member of the Jedi High Council during the fall of the Galactic Republic. He was trained by Yoda as a Padawan and became the apprentice of Qui-Gon Jinn – being named a Jedi Knight upon defeating Darth Maul. After his master’s death, Obi-Wan Kenobi continued training for Anakin Skywalker, and later Luke Skywalker until his death while dueling with Darth Vader. Obi-Wan Kenobi is a playable character in countless Star Wars video games, including all of the LEGO games, Battlefront games, and others.

Qui-Gon Jinn

Qui-Gon Jinn is a Jedi Master – looked at as one of the most wise and powerful – who found and trained Anakin Skywalker, wishing him to fulfill his prophecy and bring balance to the Force. He was offered a seat on the Jedi Council, but turned it down to continuing following his own path as a Jedi. Qui-Gon Jinn ultimately died during a battle against Darth Maul, which Obi-Wan Kenobi finished and promised him he would continue the training of Anakin Skywalker. He has appeared in multiple Star Wars video games, including Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

Yoda

Yoda is a Legendary Jedi Master and Grand Master of the Jedi Order who trained Jedi for over 800 years, dying peacefully when he was nearly 900 years old. He is said to be the most powerful and wise Jedi that has ever lived, despite his small size. and was a leading member of the Jedi High Council. Yoda took on apprentices such as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Dooku, and Mace Windu. Yoda can be found in nearly every mainstream Star Wars game.

Mace Windu

Mace Windu is a Jedi Master and was a member of the Jedi High Council during the ending of the Galactic Republic. He had heavy suspicions of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine during the time, and was later killed by him in a fight once Anakin Skywalker confirmed Palpatine’s motives to the dark side. Mace Windu has appeared in numerous Star Wars video games, including The Clone Wars games and most recently, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Ki-Adi-Mundi

Ki-Adi-Mundi is a Cerean Jedi Master. He was a member of the Jedi High Council during the final years of the Galactic Republic. He eventually became a Jedi General of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Ki-Adi-Mundi has appeared in LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game and LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga as a playable character.

Shaak Ti

Shaak Ti

Shaak Ti is a Togruta female and Jedi Master with a calm demeanor, along with being a member of the Jedi High Council toward the end of the Galactic Republic. She was eventually killed by Darth Sidious. She has appeared in multiple Star Wars games, including the original LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game, LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Kit Fisto

Kit Fisto

Kit Fisto is a Jedi Master of the Nautolan species. He was a Jedi General of the Clone Army during the Clone Wars and was eventually appointed to the Jedi Council. He was killed like many, by Emperor Palpatine after it was revealed that he was actually Darth Sidious at the end of the Galactic Republic. Kit Fisto has made appearances in numerous Star Wars video games, including the LEGO games, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars: Battlefront II, and more.

Luminara Unduli

Luminara Unduli is a female Mirialan and Jedi Master from the days of the Galactic Republic, having served the Jedi Order. She was the Jedi Master of Barriss Offee and is a playable character in LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game, along with LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, and The Clone Wars.

Count Dooku

Count Dooku was a Jedi who was trained by Yoda himself, until he turned to the dark side to become a Sith Lord, fighting alongside Darth Sidious. He then took the name of Darth Tyranus and was the leader of the Separatist army. He has appeared in over a dozen Star Wars video games, including Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter in 2002 to Star Wars: Battlefront II, which released in 2017.

Kyle Katarn

Kyle Katarn is a Jedi Master of the New Jedi order, known for appearing in five of the Star Wars Jedi Knight video games, including being one of two playable characters in Star Wars: Jedi Knight – Mysteries of the Sith. He is considered one of the most powerful Jedi and is highly praised in the Star Wars video game universe.

Mara Jade

Mara Jade is a female Jedi Master and the eventual wife of Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars Legends universe. She was the second of two playable characters – alongside Kyle Katarn – in Star Wars: Jedi Knight – Mysteries of the Sith, and has appeared in other Star Wars video games as well.

Starkiller

Starkiller is a Jedi born as Galen Marek to two Jedi Knights and was taken by Darth Vader at a young age, who taught him the dark side of the force and basically became his apprentice. Due to the Rule of Two in the Sith, Starkiller wasn’t able to technically become Vader’s apprentice until Darth Sidious was killed. Starkiller eventually went to the light side to become a Jedi after he was betrayed twice by Vader, and later sacrificed himself in turn to not join Darth Sidious. Starkiller is the main Jedi in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, along with appearing in LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars.

Bastila Shan

Bastila Shan is a female Jedi Sentinel and was a Padawan during the Jedi Civil War. She ended up going to the dark side for a short amount of time after being tortured and manipulated by Darth Malak. Bastila Shan is one of the main playable characters in the well known game, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Revan

Revan is a Sith-turned-Jedi who was healed by Bastila and brought to the Jedi Council, where his mind was erased and he was re-trained as a Jedi. He had multiple masters, including the Jedi Master Kreia who ended up being a Sith Master known as Darth Traya. Revan is known for his roles in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes.

Plo Koon

Plo Koon was a Kel Dor Jedi Master and was a member of the Jedi High Council like many others during the final years of the Galactic Republic. He ultimately died during Order 66 from Darth Sidious. Plo Koon is a playable character in over 10 Star Wars videos games, including The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes and three of the Star Wars LEGO games.

Adi Gallia

Adi Gallia is a female Jedi Master of the Tholothian species and was a member of the Jedi High Council during the Galactic Republic’s final years. She was sent with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker to rescue fellow Jedi Master, Eeth Koth, who was captured by General Grievous during that time. Adi Gallia appeared in Star Wars: Episode I – Jedi Power Battles, Clone Wars Adventures, and other games.

Eeth Koth

Eeth Koth is a Jedi Master and member of the Jedi High Council. He is of Iridonian Zabrak species, which is known for their mental discipline. He appeared in LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, among others.

Aayla Secura

Aayla Secura is a female Jedi Master of the Rutian Twi’lek species, who was on the Grand Army of the Republic as a Jedi General during the Clone Wars. She is a playable character in multiple Star Wars games, including LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, The Force Unleashed, and Battlefront II.

Kanan Jarrus

Kanan Jarrus is a Jedi Knight who survived the events of Order 66. He appeared in LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens as a bonus character, along with other Star Wars games.

General Rahm Kota

General Rahm Kota is a Jedi Master and served as a general during the Clone Wars. He was discovered as Force-sensitive from Mace Windu, where he was brought to the Jedi Temple for training to be a Jedi from Yoda – even though he was eighteen years old and well over the age for training. Rahm Kota survived Order 66 and later went on to fight Darth Vader, Darth Sidious, and ultimately the Empire. He has appeared in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and other video games.

Rey

Rey might not technically be a Jedi yet – as to become a Jedi, one must be appointed or declare themselves a Jedi – but she is included on this list as she holds the power and presence of a Jedi from her strength and honorable actions in both Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Rey was raised and later abandoned on the desert lands of Jakku, later discovering her power with the Force. Luke Skywalker trained her for a short amount of time, before realizing her strengths and being hesitant to teach her any further. She fought Kylo Ren and assisted in the killing of Supreme Leader Snoke before helping the last of The Resistance escape to safety from The First Order. Rey is a playable character in various Star Wars video games, including Star Wars: Battlefront II, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition.
