Everton target 'dreams' of Man Utd transfer, Chelsea bid accepted, Arsenal £300k plan

£300k Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Arsenal have been told to put a £300,000-a-week new contract on the table for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to keep him out of the clutches of the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid or Manchester United.

Aubameyang will have just one year left on his existing deal as of July, presenting a major headache to the Arsenal hierarchy.

Previous reports have indicated that Aubameyang may be willing to stay in north London despite the club’s lack of Champions League football in his time at the Emirates, if his pay-packet is significantly increased.

A rise of over 30 per cent to take his terms to around £300,000 a week could tempt him to turn down interest from elsewhere and remain in the English capital, where he is thought to be happy.

“While I do believe that Arsenal need to fund a rebuild, my preference would be to offer Aubameyang what he wants,” Nicholas told Sky Sports. “Is it possible Ozil could move on? Could this then help fund wages for Aubameyang and others?

“There are differing ways of doing this, but more than anything, I would want Arsenal to renew Aubameyang’s contract for three or four years, if they can. They must give Aubameyang exactly what he wants. There simply aren’t many other players like him at that level.”
